June 4th to 8th Grundfos Petanque Club visited the German company in Erkrath near Düsseldorf to participate in a tournament arranged by the local petanque club and also with participation of a Dutch club. Thursday morning we visited the Grundfos company in Erkrath with a guided tour through the new administration building followed by a lunch in the canteen. There is no production only offices. All service in Germany is managed from here. Thursday afternoon ve practised petanque on the local petanque field. The club has 90 members and good fields in the local park. Friday was spent for sightseeing in Köln and Düsseldorf. Saturday was the day for the tournament. The weather was very nice, sun and 29 degrees celcius. We played single, double and triple. The double was arranged so that all Danes played a game against both Germans and Dutch. The triple was with a Dane, a German and a Dutchman. The Germans were the best, the Danish team was second best, and the Dutch third. We arrived Sunday in Bjerringbro, tired, but many good experiences and new friendships richer.
